The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council is calling for a total withdrawal of the comprehensive sexuality education from the countrys schools curriculum.
The Council says though the Minister of Education earlier this week said government has not approved anything on the Comprehensive Sexuality Education, (CSE), document for use by teachers in basic schools, it is not enough proof for total withdrawal.
The Education Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has said the government has not approved the Comprehensive Sexuality Education, (CSE), document for use by teachers in basic schools.
He told journalists that the subject is not a component of the curriculum for the year which is already in motion.
The CSE has generated a lot of controversy from the public with a lot of people objecting to it.
Others are of the view that it is a subtle way of introducing foreign cultures such as homosexuality and lesbianism into the countrys culture.
