Government says its management of the Covid-19 pandemic is one of the best worldwide after South Korea. It says this is evident in the numerous measures put in place since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. When he took his turn at a media briefing in Accra, Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, noted that decisions taken have been hands-on, leading to a much manageable state of the disease till now.
Giving an update on cases recorded and Ghana’s emergency response to the disease so far, the Minister mentioned that the country’s Covid-19 positivity rate now stands at 6.9%. He commended President Akufo-Addo for his direct involvement in the management of the disease.
