The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has stated that through the efforts of his government, Ghana has become the country to have the largest medical drone delivery service in the world.
He made this statement during his State of Nation Address which is an Article 67 bound duty of the President of Ghana on March 8, 2023 at the Parliament House of Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo touted his NPP-led administration as the government that has achieved a lot under the fourth Republic of Ghana. Such achievements he mentioned include the introduction of drones to deliver critical medicines, vaccines and blood to people in remote parts of the country.
Among some of the achievements are the provision of more equipment, vehicles and ammunitions to the security services in the Country, increasing access to toilet facilities by the people from 33% to 59%, increasing the number of national libraries from 61 since independence to 115 currently and having over a 106 companies in operation under the One District One Factory initiative.
