The Ghana Health Service (GHS), as part of its Child Health Promotion week will introduce and promote the use of the newly developed maternal and Child Health record book.
The book which will have vital and key information on both mother and child is to empower, engender and support mothers, fathers, families and the community to reduce maternal, newborn and under five morbidity and mortality in Ghana.
In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, Dr. Edward Antwi of the Child Health Department of the Ministry of Health, said the public should take advantage of the week, for the monitoring of their children’s growth and well being.
Dr. Antwi asked health personnel to observe best practices when attending to patients.
