Deputy Director of Quality Assurance, Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Mary Ashinyo has emphasised the need to improve on quality health care in the country especially to further reduce maternal mortality.
She said the level of logistics at the various health facilities is not good enough and is affecting the motivation of health personnel at work.
Dr. Ashinyo was speaking at a dissemination meeting of the Ghana Healthcare Quality Strategy Maternal and New Born Project in Accra.
She said although health care delivery has improved since the inception of the project, there are still some challenges in the sector that needs urgent attention to improve and fully implement the objectives of the Ghana Healthcare Quality Strategy.
