The Acting District Director of Health for Wa West in the Upper West Region, Clifford Vengkungmene has called on stakeholders in the district to step up the Campaign against Teenage pregnancy.
Speaking to Radio Ghana at Wechiau the district Capital, he expressed worry about the increasing rate of Teenage pregnancy in the District which he described as alarming.
The Acting District Director said within the last five years, the district has recorded 206 cases.
He said the phenomenon is not only putting the lives of teenagers at risk but also truncates their education.
