Medical PR for Medi Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, Dr. (MH) Prince Osei has highlighted the prevalence of infertility issues among couples during GTV’s Breakfast Show.

According to Dr. Osei, one out of seven couples encounter challenges related to infertility, emphasizing the commonality of this issue.

“… but for every couple, we have one in seven couples having issues with infertility so it is that common …”, he added.

In further insights shared by Dr. (MH) Prince Osei from the Medi Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, specific causes of infertility in men were highlighted.

Dr. Osei pointed out that varicose and prostate infections are significant factors contributing to male infertility. Varicose concerns involve the blockage of blood vessels carrying sperm, while prostate infections, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and urinary tract infections, can also impact fertility.

Moreover, Dr. Osei provided essential recommendations to address infertility issues. He advised individuals to maintain a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and fluids, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle in promoting fertility.

Additionally, Dr. Osei revealed that in half of the cases, fertility problems stem from issues on the male side, underscoring the significant role males play in fertility complications. This disclosure sheds light on the complexity of fertility concerns and the need for continued awareness and support in addressing these challenges.

Furthermore, Dr. Osei stressed the necessity for men to actively participate in addressing infertility concerns, urging them not to overlook the potential impact of male factors in fertility challenges.

Routine hospital visits for check-ups were also encouraged to monitor and address any underlying issues promptly.
