The project’s Resident Engineer, Mr. Ahmed Massoud make this known to the Ashanti Regional Minister Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah when he paid a working visit to inspect progress of work on the project. Razak Baba reports that the Konongo Government Hospital project which is being undertaken by an Egyptian company, Euroget De-Invest, is expected to be formally completed in a month.
Physical infrastructure, installations, equipment, and systems on the 145,000 square metre plot are in place. Testing of equipment, cleaning up of surfaces and systems, and some external work such as decorations have also been undertaken. The Contractor working on the four-point-eight kilometers bituminous surface road leading to the hospital, Mr. Samuel Agyapong assured the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, who was on a working visit, of completing the road project by next month to the pave way for formal handing over of the Hospital to the Government. The project’s Resident Engineer, Mr. Ahmed Massoud, briefed the Regional Minister and his entourage on the current state of the project.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah commended the Contractor for the good work done. He assured Ghanaians of the Government’s commitment ”to complete all hospital projects before the end of Nana Akufo-Addo’s Presidency”.
