Data from the Kpone Municipal Health Directorate shows that from January to June this year, 115 persons living in the Kpone Katamanso District have suffered from dog bites.
Some five cases of rabies in dogs have also been recorded in the municipality, and 36 people have come in contact with rabid dogs.
The rate of rabies infection is on the increase in the district and the Vet Department has commenced a mass vaccination in the district.
