The National Ambulance Service is the emergency medical service system of the country dedicated to providing out-of-hospital acute medical care and other medical transport for patients with illnesses and injuries, which prevent them from transporting themselves. The Chief Executive Officer of the Service, Professor Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah commended the Regional Administrative Managers for their swift response to national issues particularly the ”recent explosion at Appiaste”.
Prof. Ahmed Zakaria expressed concern about recent happenings on social media where bloggers put fake stories denigrating the National Ambulance Service which are not verified by some media practitioners but resort to publishing them.
