The Hohoe Zongo Development Association in Collaboration with Taimaka Africa a U.S based NGO has donated an Ambulance to the Hohoe Adabraka Health Centre.The gesture is to promote quality health care delivery to the people.
The Hohoe Adabraka Health Centre was established in 2005 by the effort of the Zongo Community to promote primary health care delivery to residents
The facility has served the Community for years rendering maternal, clinical and public health services.
The facility has also received support from partners both from the Community and outside especially the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) that seeks to promote Community engagement and participation in basic health services.
Presenting the Ambulance to the facility, the President of Taimaka Africa, Dr Sani Mohammed Bukari in an interview with GBC News said the Ambulance which costs $40,000 was his contribution towards the development of the Zongo Community. He also pledged to make similar donations in future in support of the Community.
The Hohoe Municipal Director of Health Service, Gifty Asempah commended the NGOs for the gesture and pledged to cultivate a maintenance culture to help prolong its life span.
The Association and the NGO later donated 90 computers and accessories and printers to some selected schools in the Municipality. The beneficiary schools include the Hohoe E.P Senior High School, Adabraka English and Arabic Basic school and E.P Junior High School.
