The First Lady through the Rebecca Foundation has donated hospital beds to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Kumasi South Hospital in the Ashanti Region to support healthcare delivery.
The items come on the back of reports of lack of beds at those facilities for COVID-19 patients.
Twenty beds are going to each Hospital. Making the presentation on behalf of the First Lady, Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Osei Assibey Antwi said Suntreso and KNUST Hospitals will also benefit from the gesture.
CEO of Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital, Dr. Oheneba Owusu Danso, who received the beds on behalf of the health facilities thanked The Rebecca Foundation for the kind gesture, saying it will help to take care of the increasing numbers of COVID 19 patients.
