Have you been wondering what you will do with leftover bread? There is some good news for you. Lady Thelma Boye, a Hospitality Management Specialist on today’s edition of the GTV’s Breakfast Show said leftover bread which is also known as stale bread can be used for a number of delicious recipes like bread crumbs and puddings.

According to her, in just 30 to 40 minutes one can prepare bread and butter pudding by soaking slices of the leftover bread in a mixture of milk, warm water, sugar, egg, nutmeg, essence and baking. She said by doing this ”you save money”.

“You can soak slices of leftover bread in a mixture of milk, nutmeg, essence, warm water, a little sugar and then bake in an oven to prepare a tasty breakfast”.

Lady Thelma said, stale bread that is more than three days old should not be used, because some of the leftovers could develop microbes that are harmful to the body when consumed.

”In order to prevent it from going bad, it should be wrapped and kept in the refrigerator when not in use”, Lady Thelma advised.
