As part of the Heritage month series, Radio Ghana takes a look at some aspects of the country’s valuables such as beads, ornaments and traditional fabrics like kente and their significance.

Hand made beads

Women in particular are the entrepreneurs and beneficiaries in this sector.  It also forms a major part of their livelihood. One of such Entrepreneurs is Delphine Dogbega of Beads Afrique.

She takes GBC’s George Ankrah through the value of beads in the life of humans.

Madam Dogbega enumerated ways by which beads producers and kente weavers can market their wears. She also called for a National Day to celebrate Kente and beads to promote their use.
