Liberal Party of Ghana launches 2024 manifesto; unveils ambitious $10 billion job fund

The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has officially launched its manifesto for the 2024 general elections, outlining an ambitious vision to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and build wealth for the Ghanaian youth. 

LaunchIng the 74-paged policy document at Ho, in the Volta region, the presidential candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana, Mr. Kofi Akpaloo described the manifesto as a “blueprint for a better tomorrow” that seeks to reshape Ghana’s economic landscape. “Everything about this document is about wealth and job creation. We will make university Education Free. This is my vision for Ghana”, he said.

According to him, the primary focus of the manifesto is to generate jobs and provide economic opportunities for Ghanaians through innovative programs and policies. “We will regularize small scale mining, introduce child and unemployment benefits. We are promising an effective and efficient health services delivery. We are going to include our young men and women in leadership we supply our small businesses with cash flow assistance”, Mr Akpaloo noted.

A key highlight of the manifesto is the introduction of a $10 billion Job Fund to support the youth. According to Mr. Kofi Akpaloo, the  Job Fund will serve as a catalyst for entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable employment opportunities especially for the Youth. 

“We are going to introduce what we call start a business venture support programme. We are also going to introduce what we call opportunity vouchers. We will establish effective small business incubators in partnership with the private sector”, Mr Akpaloo added.

The manifesto also promises the introduction of child and unemployment benefits, a policy that Mr. Akpaloo believes will have a ripple effect on the economy.

He called  on Ghanaians to believe in the vision of the Liberal Party of Ghana and vote for a leadership that will prioritize job creation and the economic well-being of all citizens.

The launch of its manifesto marks a significant moment for the LPG as they head into the 2024 election campaign with a renewed focus on exclusivity, job creation and equality for all.
