Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste, Michael Takyi-Frimpong, widely recognized by his stage name Lord Paper, revealed that the track “Jane” from his EP, “Something Something,” draws inspiration from a past relationship with a woman who, he claims, wa s unfaithful to him with fellow musician Mr. Drew

The ‘Awurama’ singer expressed how he thinks he is not a successful musician due to the fact that, his girlfriend Jane chose a more popular and successful musician who happens to be Mr. Drew.

He went on to say that, “he found out last year in October and he is still cool with his fellow highlife musician, Mr Drew because Mr. Drew told him he wasn’t aware that Jane was dating him, Lord Paper. “I don’t know what is going on between them now but it inspires me to work harder”, he said.

Lord Paper revealed this on the GTV breakfast show while promoting his EP, Something Something consisting of four songs including fighting spirit, mistake, Kofi Junior, and lastly, Jane.

He further revealed that, he was misunderstood from the beginning because of his songs like ‘Sika duro’ which talks about him killing his blood brother for money and now finding it hard to sleep and ‘Dzigbordi’ which talks about love and tribalism, he explained that, he was only telling stories through his songs so they weren’t true stories as people assumed.
