Ministry of Education denies reports of teachers’ and nurses’ trainee allowance cancellation

The Ministry of Education has responded to allegations claiming the cancellation of allowances for Teachers and Nurses’ Trainees, refuting them as baseless and without merit. In an official statement, the Ministry firmly denied any plans or intentions to terminate these allowances.

The statement explicitly mentioned the Minister for Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, clarifying that any claims attributed to him regarding the termination of these allowances are completely false.

“The alleged statement made by the Minister for Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, suggesting the cancellation of allowances for teachers and nursing students is unequivocally false and lacks foundation. The Ministry of Education categorically denies any such assertions or plans to discontinue these allowances.”

Recognizing the significance of supporting and prioritizing the training of teachers, the government remains dedicated to providing essential financial assistance in these areas.
