The Minority in Parliament has expressed fears that this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) may be in limbo if Government fails to release funds to the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
The Ranking Member on the Education Committee, Peter Nortsu-Kortoe has therefore asked the Minister of Finance to as a matter of urgency release money to WAEC to pay Invigilators and other Examination Officials.
Speaking to GBC News, Mr. Nortsu-Kortoe said complaints he has received indicate that the examination officials are contemplating boycotting this year’s WASSCE if they are not paid.
