More airports coming- President Akufo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the 28th ACI conference said there will be more airports to serve as feeders for the Kotoka International Airports.

“There will be advance of development in our country Ghana. We have plans to build more airports and reconstruct the rest to improve the aviation industry” he noted.

The conference which is themed: “Smart Airport of the Future; Are we ready?” is aimed at promoting development and also to ensure transformation in the socio-economic sector.

About 300 participants across the continent shared diverse view on how to improve the Aviation industry.

President Akufo-Addo said some airports are undergoing rehabilitation.

He noted the Tamale, Kumasi and Sunyani Airports are undergoing systematic facelifts through infrastructural development.

The president introduces an initiative of the Aviation sector known as ‘Aviation Driven Development.’

According to the president the aviation sector contributes US$ 2.7 billion and US $ 2.5 billion in 2107 and 2018. It a massive success and a factor for national development.

He said, the accomplishment was due to the good standard and high airport services initiated by the stakeholder.

The Minister for Aviation, Honourable Kofi Adda in address pledge to work effectively in achieving the goals of the president.

Thus, to make the Aviation sector in Ghana pivot in Africa.
