The Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia, Nana Owiredu Wadie, has paid a working visit to the Grambling State University in Louisiana, LA, USA, to seek educational opportunities for brilliant but needy students in Ghana, especially students of St. Peter Senior High School in Kwahu Nkwatia in the Eastern Region.
A release issued and signed by the Executive Director for KABAKA Foundation, Henry Larbi, noted that as Board Chairman of St. Peter Senior High School, PERSCO, and also Chairman of Kabaka Foundation, a charity organisation that has been philanthropically supporting education across Ghana, Nana Owiredu Wadie is, by his visit, seeking to secure some scholarship opportunities for brilliant and needy Senior High School graduates from Kwahu Nkwatia, PERSCO, and the general public in Ghana.
These educational opportunities will fall under the Kabaka Education Pillar, which focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal SDG-4, which tends to ensure “Quality Education for All”.
Nana Owiredu Wadie interacted with the Head/Director of the Department of Kinesiology, Sport, and Leisure Studies at Grambling State University in Louisiana, Dr. Obadiah J.K. Simmons Jr., and a Professor in Sports Administration, Dr. Aaron Livingston.
He also had a tour of the campus.
Grambling State University is a historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), with a strong history and stellar performance in sports sciences.
