A Political Affairs Director at the office of the Chief of Staff, Frank Asiedu Bekoe popularly known as ‘Protozoa’ has successfully filed his nomination to contest in the Suhum Constituency’s Parliamentary Primaries of the New Patriotic Party.

The NPP officially opened nominations for Parliamentary Primaries in Constituencies that have the party have sitting Members of Parliament on December 20, 2023, and has since recorded surprises and keen contests as some long-serving MPs bow out of the race with some facing strong contests.

In the Suhum Constituency, one of the toughest contests is expected to be experienced as the incumbent will have his potency tested by one of the party’s political Analyst and Strategist. The incumbent Oboafo Kwadwo Asante will have to prove against doubt how he took over from his predecessor, Frederick Opare Ansah.

Frank Asiedu Bekoe in a speech after his filing spoke to the media about his inspiration to contest the Suhum seat. He mentioned that the need for sustainable development and progressive policies aimed at uplifting the lives of residents of the constituency informed his desire and decision to contest against the incumbent Member of Parliament.

“I am honored to step forward and offer myself to serve the wonderful people of Suhum. My goal is to champion initiatives that foster growth, create opportunities, and address the pressing needs of our community,” he said.

He promised to place the issues of women and job creation on his list of priorities and importance should he be given the nod to lead the party in the constituency and eventually win. He will be campaigning under the ‘New Face, New Vision’ tagline.
