Black Stars coach Otto Addo has reassured fans that the team will focus on improving their goal-scoring before the second leg of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
In the first leg against Sudan, the game ended in a 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Ghana missing several chances to score despite playing well overall.
The team defended well and showed strong determination but failed to take advantage of opportunities to score.
After the match, Otto Addo admitted the missed chances and promised to work on their attacking play ahead of the next game on Tuesday, October 15.
He said, “We will train on finishing and help the players build confidence. That’s the only thing that was missing. The defense and effort were good, but we just needed to finish the chances.”
The second leg will be held at the Martyrs of February Stadium, with the game starting at 13:00 GMT.
Ghana is currently third in their group with two points from three matches, and winning the next game is crucial for their hopes of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco in 2025.
