Abdul Latif gets the nod to represent Ablekuma Central constituency

Abdul Latif Dan a new entrant in the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), primaries in the Ablekuma Central constituency has won to contest as parliamentary candidate in the 2020 elections on the ticket of the NDC.

He beat the 2016 aspirant Alhaji Halidu Haruna with 888 votes as against 654.

Delegates were however, divided over the choice of candidate. Thousand 500 and 42 out of the thousand 700 and ten delegates took part in the election.

The atmosphere was generally calm but became pensive and chaotic when counting of the ballots showed that the new entrant Abdul latif Dan was the obvious winner.

After the situation was controlled the electoral commissioner declared the results.

The declaration of the results sent supporters of Abdul latif Dan in wild jubilation.

In his victory speech Abdul Latif Dan popularly called Minister thanked delegates for a resounding victory adding that the victory of NDC in the Ablekuma Central constituency has began.

The defeated candidate Alhaji Halidu Haruna was however, not present to comment on the outcome of the elections.
