Head of the History and Political Science Department at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Edward Brenya, has expressed support for the president’s recent appointments, highlighting the critical role of accountability and professionalism.

In an interview on GTV’s breakfast show on Monday, January 20, 2025, Professor Brenya welcomed the president’s call for appointees to be held accountable for their actions. He stressed, “whatever you do, one day you’ll be called upon to account for your stewardship.”

The academic also underscored the importance of professionalism and integrity in public service.

“The president said that professionalism and integrity should be the mark of the service they provide,” he added.

Professor Brenya believes that if appointees embrace these values, they will be able to foster an inclusive government and leave behind a legacy they can be proud of.

“If they adhere to these principles, they can build a very inclusive government and leave a legacy that will stand the test of time,” he said.
