Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Madam Sarah Adwoa Safo, on Monday, 7th April 2025, stormed the headquarters of the Opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to honour an invitation sent to her by the party’s leadership.

Political watchers are yet to unveil the motivation behind the former Dome-Kwabenya lawmaker’s decision to go to the NPP headquarters on Monday despite communication from the party hierarchy suspending the disciplinary hearing against her which was circulated widely on social media platforms.

A disciplinary committee meeting, scheduled on Monday, April 7, 2025, to address alleged misconduct by the former Dome-Kwabenya MP, was suspended indefinitely.

However, sources close to Madam Adwoa Safo told the media that the former Dome-Kwabenya lawmaker, who is a principal witness in the case, was not informed of the suspension.

Meanwhile, Madam Adwoa Safo, in an interview with the media, has confirmed that she has not been notified of any suspension of the scheduled disciplinary committee hearing; thus, her appearance.

“I haven’t been personally served. When you set a precedent which is that you serve me to appear personally, which was yesterday, I haven’t seen anything with my security guard as they did yesterday that tells me anything has been postponed.

“I haven’t heard. I have been with my colleague lawyers in my law firm trying to prepare to be here. I think that I should have been served personally, and I haven’t had such notice that is why I am here today,” she said.

However, some supporters of the former MP gathered outside the party office in solidarity.
