In our continuing coverage of the upcoming super delegates Conference of the ruling NPP, we shift our attention to the Immediate Former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto. He is one of the 10 individuals aspiring to lead the NPP in their quest to break the eight by winning the 2024 General Election.
He must, however, clear the first hurdle by being selected among the top five when the party goes to the super delegates conference on August 26, 2023.
Dr. Akoto Afriyie said his vision is to ”revitalise the NPP party machinery”.
According to him, the machinery is currently weak, which reflected in the not-too-good performance of the party in the last election, where it suffered a net loss of 36 seats in its parliamentary seats.
