SRC Vice President from the University of Ghana, Wisdom Ndukwe has stated that he was very disappointed in President Akufo-Addo’s speech and Ghanaians deserve an apology from him.
According to him, the speech from President Akufo-Addo has been long overdue.
“I was very disappointed. Disappointed in the sense that, first of all, the speech from the president has been long overdue. The president sat down like waited, there was continuous suffering for a certain period of time before he felt the need to come and talk.”
Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Mr. Wisdom Ndukwe said President Akufo-Addo should have had a proper town hall meeting prior to the address.
“He should be having proper town hall meetings, engaging people… You don’t go to a meeting where your party people, come and welcome you and clap for you and all of that. No. We are talking about engaging people.”
Wisdom Ndukwe, SRC Vice President of UG also mentioned that the content of the president’s speech is not new to Ghanaians.
“All of these things he is saying, are not things that are new to us….All over the world, everyone is suffering but then our economy is worse off. So, it means there are other measures that ought to be taken or there is something that the government is not getting right.
He continued: “So, what I was expecting from government is a proper apology and not even the blame game because, at the end of the day, the president is the boss, “Wisdom Ndukwe made this remark on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
