Alban Sumana Bagbin has been sworn-in as Speaker of Parliament of the Eighth Parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana.
He was sworn-in by the Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah.
In addition, Joseph Osei-Wusu, NPP MP for Bekwai was declared as the first Deputy Speaker whiles Andrew Asiamah Amoako, Independent MP for Fomena was declared as the second Deputy Speaker.
In his acceptance speech, the former Member of Parliament for Nadowli Kaleo pledged to serve all Ghanaians faithfully and bring his rich experience to bear in his new duties as the speaker of Parliament.
