National Democratic Party’s (NDP) flagbearer Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong, bemoans the lack of effective community collaboration due to inadequate local governance.

In an interview with Maltiti Sadiya Sadick on GTV’s breakfast show on October 11, 2024, He says inclusive and participatory leadership by local governments and executives is crucial for addressing local issues.

Moreover, speaking on the importance of grassroots involvement, Alhaji Frimpong explained that empowering local structures can prevent issues from escalating. “If unit committees and assembly members were provided with effective functionalities, they should leverage the executive’s power to address local issues,” he stated.

Furthermore, Alhaji Frimpong also highlighted the need for a mindset shift in Ghana. “Our collective will and mind are determined by the laws we have…the strength of our will and mind is just determined,” he added.
