Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Sereboe Quaicoo has given assurance that all is set for the Voter Registration which has been rescheduled for Monday June 17.
The EC earlier this month suspended the exercise following an injunction. However, the court threw out the case paving way for the EC to go ahead with the exercise but with a new date.
Speaking on GBC’s ‘Behind the News’, Dr. Quaicoo listed items that make a person eligible for the registration.
The Electoral Commission (EC) rescheduled the Limited Voters Registration to take place between Monday, June 17, to Sunday July 7, 2019.
A statement signed and issued by the EC Chairperson, Mrs. Jean Mensa said this follows the dismissal of a motion for interlocutory injunction seeking to restrain the Commission from undertaking the scheduled exercise.
