The Appointments Committee of Ghana’s parliament is set to vet ministerial nominees today, 30th January,2025.
Among those scheduled for vetting are Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment; Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology; Samuel Nartey George, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations; and Kofi Iddie Adams, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
The committee will take a brief recess at noon and resume at 12:30 p.m. to continue the vetting process.
In the afternoon session, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be vetted at 12:30 p.m., followed by Joseph Bukari Nikpe, MP and Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Transport, at 1:30 p.m. Issifu Seidu, MP and Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
The final nominee for the day, Mrs. Charity Gardiner, Minister-Designate for the Ahafo Region, will be vetted at 3:30 p.m.
