Campaigning for the by-election at Assin North has officially come to an end. The major political parties, New Patriotic Party, NPP and National Democratic Congress (NDC), have rounded off their campaign in the area.
The NPP held a rally at Assin Bereku, whilst the NDC also held mini-Durbars in various towns to round off their campaign.
According to our Central Regional Correspondent Kingsley Nana Boadu, President Akufo Addo and former president John Dramani Mahama, who is also the flag bearer of NDC all joined the campaign at Assin North.
President Akufo-Addo denied claims of being behind the prosecution of embattled former MP for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson.
He says he has never interfered in the work of the judiciary throughout his stay in office as President.
