The Director of Operations of the National Security, Colonel Micheal Opoku, has re-appeared before the Commission of Enquiry Investigating the violence that characterised the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

Making his submission, Colonel Opoku, said the lives of the members of the SWAT team who were in mask are in danger.

This is because their pictures have been posted in parts of Accra and declared wanted.

He explained that wearing mask for operations is not new to security operatives.

Colonel Opoku showed unedited versions of some videos of the disturbances during the by-election.

He denied knowledge of the alleged National Security Operative who assaulted the MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam George.

Colonel Opoku explained that the National Security often nominates those who will fire their guns during operations. He added that the identities of such personnel are often not revealed.
