Lawyer and activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor has disclosed that the presidential candidate for the Movement of Change, Alan Kyerematen, reached out to him to be his running mate ahead of the 2024 general election on December 7, 2024.
In an interview with Borla Ray on Star FM on Friday, October 25, 2024, Oliver Barker disclosed that Alan Kyerematen reached out to him to be his running mate, but he respectfully declined. “Alan called me to be his running mate, but I declined,” he stated.
Oliver Barker, who is also the leader of the Democracy Hub, recently led a protest against illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, but got himself caught up with the police for some dubious behavior, where he was seen taking out the car key from a parked police van and running away with it.
Barker has been actively involved in activities of public concern, where he has always used his platform as a social activist to push for better governance and structure for citizens whose voices always seem to be ignored. Although his actions have always stood to correct some menace, it hasn’t been a smooth one for him.
