The Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress Malik Basintale has thrown a rhetorical question to the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Nabdam Mr. Charles Taleog Ndanbon on why he thinks he can win the Nabdam seat.

“We have heard that some people are now going round campaigning for John Mahama and campaigning for themselves. What they don’t know is that it was the same strategy their senior brother used and Dr. Nawaane defeated them. This time around, the vote margin will be double of what his senior brother suffered.” Mr. Basintale announced.

During a community engagement at Kongo in the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, the communications officer touted the achievements of the Member of Parliament of the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane describing him as an MP who can be trusted for massive development. He commended the MP for the massive infrastructure and human resource development in the area despite being in opposition.

“When I listened to the achievements of Honorable Nawaane, I started asking myself if Dr. Nawaane is really in opposition with us. I thought Akuffo Addo has made him a member of his government. Because the kind of things he is doing for Nabdam as an MP in opposition is astonishing.” He said.

Mr. Basintale appreciated the reception accorded him and called on the suporters to come out in their numbers on 7th December to vote John Mahama and Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane. He told the crowd that “the NPP should forget ever occupying the Nabdam seat, because, if his senior brother couldn’t win you think can survive Dr. Nawaane?” Mr. Basintale queried.

Thousands of youth and first time voters adorned in the NDC branded paraphernalia thronged the Kongo market square to receive the ‘Basintale Boy’ as part of his campaign tour of the Upper East Region. He was in company with the Regional Communications Officer Jonathan Abdallah, Regional first vice chairman Salifu Atongo, Deputy Regional Women’s organizer among others.
