A new Global InfoAnalytics poll shows that most supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prefer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party in the 2028 presidential elections.
The survey revealed that 48.1% of NPP supporters back Dr. Bawumia, who was the party’s candidate in the 2024 elections.
His closest rival, Kennedy Agyapong, received 25.1% support, while Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum followed with 12.5%. The remaining candidates, including Kwabena Agyapong, Brian Acheampong, and Francis Addai-Nimoh, shared the rest of the votes.
Among all voters surveyed, Dr. Bawumia still led with 48%, followed by Kennedy Agyapong at 25%, and Dr. Adutwum at 12.5%. The other candidates collectively secured 14.3%.
These results indicate that Dr. Bawumia remains highly influential within the party and continues to enjoy strong support after the 2024 elections.
His experience as a former flagbearer and vice president appears to have strengthened his position as the frontrunner for the NPP in 2028.
