Dr. Bawumia inaugurates Ho Municipal Assembly office complex

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has inaugurated a new office complex to accommodate the Ho Municipal Assembly.

The facility is a major boost for the Assembly’s quest to be elevated to the status of a metropolis.

Vice President Bawumia who is on a five-day campaign tour of the Volta Region noted that the development is a testament to the government’s efforts in equitable distribution of infrastructure across the country.

The 8 million Cedis Ho Municipal Assembly office complex houses several offices, conference halls, a canteen and other ancillary facilities. Prior to the inauguration of the office complex, the Assembly operated in over 50-year-old office structures that were not conducive for administrative work.

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Divine Bosson said the mega facility has brought relief to staff members and a big step for the Assembly’s pursuit to attain a metropolitan status. Mr Bosson who is also the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Ho Central appealed to the constituents to elect him as their Member of Parliament to continue with the good works.

The Paramount Chief of Takla, Togbe Ayim Adzokoto on behalf of the chiefs and people of Asogli urged the government to elevate the Municipality to the status of a metropolis. Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is on a campaign tour of the Volta Region to solicit votes to be elected as President in the December 7 general elections.

Inaugurating the Ho Municipal Assembly office complex, Dr Bawumia stated that the government will continue with its infrastructural development, such as roads, hospitals, schools among others to better the lots of Ghanaians. He assured the chiefs and people of the Municipality that he will trigger the processes for the elevation of Ho to a Metropolitan status.

Vice President Bawumia later addressed party sympathizers at a mini-rally in Ho. He highlighted a plethora of achievements of the NPP government and pledged to continue with the good works if elected as President.

Dr Bawumia said his record as Vice President supersedes that of his political opponents, hence the need for Ghanaians to endorse his candidacy with massive votes.
