Dr Bawumia gives message of hope and new ideas to electorate in Western Region

The Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has taken his possibility campaign tour to the Western region to canvass for votes as the December 7 elections approach. 

His message to the electorate in the region is one of hope with new ideas to consolidate the gains achieved over the years. 

Addressing stakeholders in separate engagements at Mporhor, Wassa and Jomoro Constituencies, Dr Bawumia outlined his plans for the Small Scale Mining sector, reiterating his commitment that his administration will reform the licensing regime for small-scale mining to unlock the sector’s potential to create jobs. 

Dr Bawumia’s first activity in the Western region was a courtesy call on the Traditional Council and Paramount Chief of the Mpohor Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwaw Entsie, to pay homage and also seek his blessings and permission to campaign in the area. 

After fruitful discussions, Osabarima Kwaw Entsie commended Dr. Bawumia for leading numerous policies that are shaping lives.

After the interaction with the traditional council, the Campaign Team later on held a community connect to address some issues of concern. Mpohor is mainly a mining community, so it was not surprising the gathering focus was on Dr. Bawumia’s strategy for the mining sector and how he intends to control galamsey in the country. 

George Mireku Duker is the Coordinator for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign in mining areas. He assured the miners of Dr. Bawumia’s plans to upgrade their work .

Dr. Bawumia said under Community Mining Scheme, miners would be supported to do responsible mining in Ghana.

The Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, also had engagements in Doboase in  Wassa East and then headed for the  Community Connect with the people in Amenfi East constituency of the Western Region. This is where Dr. Bawumia presented his policies to the electorate at the constituency. Dr. Bawumia said he is coming with fresh ideas to build on these initiatives to better the lot of Ghanaians. 

He urged them to vote Dr. Bawumia and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the next general election.
