The Center for Democratic Development, CDD-Ghana has called on the leadership of National Democratic Congress (NDC) to use legitimate means in defending their rejection of the December 7 Presidential Election results.
Director of Policy and Advocacy at CDD-Ghana, Dr. Kojo Asante, appealed to aggrieved parties to seek redress in court as soon as possible, to avert tension and further loss of lives.
Speaking on an Accra-based Radio Station, Dr. Asante expressed disappointment at the loss of lives that characterized the elections, adding, it is only the courts that have the authority to establish whether or not there were irregularities or anomalies in the recent General Election.
He urged the NDC to resolve their grievances over the results of the recent general election through legal means, instead of inciting the public and party supporters to protest against the EC.
Former President and 2020 Presidential candidate for the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, has strongly expressed his and the party’s unwillingness to accept the outcome of the 2020 General Elections.
He has described the results as flawed and hinted, that the NDC will take the next line of action after auditing the pink sheets available to the Party.
