The Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs who is also the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West constituency, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has resigned from his position.

A statement from the Communications Directorate at the Presidency on Friday, February 3, 2023 stated that the Chieftaincy Minister submitted his letter of resignation to the President.

The Statement further said President Akufo-Addo has accepted his resignation.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has appointed the Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Dan Botwe to act as caretaker Minister until a substantive Minister is appointed.

The resignation of the Chieftaincy Minister brings to three the total number of Ministers who have resigned in less than two months.
