Church of Pentecost launches ‘Agent of Peace’ campaign ahead of December polls

As part of a vision to welcoming peaceful election, an “AGENT OF PEACE CAMPAIGN” has been launched by the Sefwi Wiawso Area of the Church of Pentecost in the Western North Region, to spread the news of peace before, during and after the elections.

In an interview with GBC’s correspondent after the launch, the Area Head of the Church, Apostle John Obeng Kesse was hopeful the “Agent of peace campaign” would contribute to the election processes come December 7.

In attendance were representatives of various Religious bodies, NCCE, security personnel and some Youth groups.

Apostle Kesse used the opportunity to advise the public, political parties, and stakeholders to see to it that peace prevails, adding that election is a matter of decision making and not fight.

The Regional Police Commander, DCOP Okyere Boapea assured the public of the readiness of the security services to combat any electoral related violence.
