Ashanti Regional Communication Officer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Kwakwa, has officially resigned from the post as the party’s regional communication officer to pursue political ambitions, which are speculated to include being a parliamentary candidate.
In an official letter addressed to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Boasiako Antwi, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Mr. Kwakwa expressed gratitude for the immense support he was accorded by the leadership of the party during his time as the party’s communication officer.
“I shall forever be grateful to you and the entire Regional Executive body for the opportunity the team accorded me to contribute to the service of our great party,” he noted.
His resignation follows that of the Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser of the party, Moses Abor. According to him, the decision to step down as the party’s communication officer comes after a critical consideration of the requirements he has to fulfill in order to pursue his political ambition.
“Though I love and cherish working in such a role, it is a requirement I have to fulfill in order to pursue other political goals in my political career,” he added.
