Vice President and New Patriotic Party, NPP, flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, took his campaign to the streets of Tema to connect with the people in line with his Constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour. He visited the Tema Community 1 lorry station and market where he interacted with the people.

A large number of enthusiastic NPP supporters gathered to catch a glimpse of the flagbearer who exchanged pleasantries with the crowd.

Dr. Bawumia later on held a community connect at Tema Newtown lorry station to outline his vision for the future, especially for the youth. Dr Bawumia said the government has achieved a lot over the last 7 years, stressing that more will be done under his Presidency. He touted the NPP government’s successful implementation of the free senior high school policy.

He noted that many Ghanaians have benefited from the policy and the NPP must be rewarded for the initiative.

“We promised to implement free SHS, and we delivered despite objections from John Mahama. The beauty is that many have benefitted,” he said.

“I have initiated and championed 33 policies as Vice President and I want former President Mahama to show us the policies he championed under his tenure as Vice President,” he added.

Dr Bawumia appealed to the electorate to vote for him and the three NPP Parliamentary Candidates in Tema West, Tema Central and Tema East to enable the NPP garner majority seats in Parliament.

The Community Connect at Tema New Town Lorry Station in the Tema East Constituency was the last event for the Presidential Candidate of the NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the three Constituencies in Tema. Thousands of Party supporters clad in NPP colours thronged the Tema New Town Lorry Station late in the night to listen to Dr. Bawumia.

The Community Connect is a feature of Bawumia’s 2024 Campaign. It focuses on the youth in the various Constituencies. It affords the Presidential Candidate the opportunity to tell the youth his vision for them and how his agenda for Business and Jobs will transform lives, improve the business environment, create jobs and shape the lives of the Ghanaian youth. Dr. Bawumia noted that his administration will continue to maximize digitization as a tool for job creation. He touts the achievements of the government.

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Tema East is Yohanne Armah Ashietey. He said the NPP has done a lot for the people and a vote for the NPP to recapture the seat will mean more development.
