I will remove import duties on mobile phones and make data affordable – Dr Bawumia promises

The Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to remove import duties on mobile phones and also bring down the cost of Internet data in the country when given the nod in the upcoming general election.

Addressing stakeholders at Nhyieaso as part of his constituency-focused nationwide campaign in the Ashanti Region, Dr Bawumia said his youth policies will only create jobs for the youth stressing that a vote for him is the protection of Social Policies such the Free SHS, School Feeding Programme and the National Health Insurance.

Nhyieaso is one of the constituencies in the Ashanti region. The consistuency which was created in 2004, has been held by the NPP since then with the party in 2020 gaining 51 percent in the Presidential elections.

Nyhiaeso came alive when the Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia took his campaign to the constituency, one of NPPs strongholds to maximise the margin of votes in the upcoming polls. As a usual feature, Dr. Bawumia’s engaged the Chiefs and other key stakeholders in the constituency.

The Chief of Atasomanso, Nana Owusu Barimah expressed gratitude to the government Dr. Bawumia also met with the young people at Nhyiaeso for a Community Connect.

Dr Bawumia explained how the digital training skills will create jobs and wealth for the youth. He announced that as part of his tax policies, import duties on mobile phones will be removed.

Dr Bawumia said Ghana will witness more development under is Presidency.

The various speakers urged the supporters to increase their local base campaign to increase the votes of the party in December.

Dr. Bawumia, appealed for support to win the 2024 election.
