The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has confidently asserted that the 2024 Voters’ Register is both robust and credible, urging citizens to disregard claims suggesting otherwise.

In a post on X, the Commission emphasized the integrity and reliability of the Voters’ Register, assuring the public that it is fully prepared for the upcoming 2024 Elections.

This statement comes in response to claims made by the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), that the register contains discrepancies that must be corrected ahead of the elections.

NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has also called on the EC to take immediate action to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Adjen Kotoku within the Amasaman constituency on Wednesday, as part of his Greater Accra regional campaign, Mahama stressed the need for the EC to address the alleged discrepancies promptly to safeguard the credibility of the electoral process.
