Election 2020: Gov’t assures Ghanaians of adequate security

Minister of State at the Interior Ministry, Bryan Acheampong, says the State has all the men required to protect every Ghanaian who will step out to vote in the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Mr. Acheampong who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi in the Eastern region gave the assurance when he addressed a rally at Anyinam in the Atiwa East Constituency as part of President Akufo-Addo’s two-day tour of the Region.

President Akufo-Addo commenced the two day tour of the Eastern region with a visit to Nkawkaw, Anyinam, Kwaabeng, Osino, Befro and Tafo.

Eastern Region, the home region of the President is one of the strongholds of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Nkawkaw in particular is where the President first launched his bid to become a President in 1998.

Minister of State at the Ministry for the Interior, Bryan Acheampong said the days of intimidation in Ghana are over.

He urged the electorates to go all out and vote for the NPP without fear.

When he took the stage to address the crowd, President Akufo-Addo registered appreciation of the NPP to the people of the Nkawkaw and Atiwa West Constituencies for their unwavering support since 1992.

He called on the people of the Kwahu Traditional Area to stick with the NPP more strongly in the upcoming 7th December Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyapong, Minister of Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea, Minister of Roads, Kwasi Amoako Atta and other regional executives joined the Campaign.
