Fifi Fiavi Kwetey beats Peter Boamah Otukunor and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah promising unity of purpose in 2024

Former Member of Parliament for Ketu South has taken over from Johnson Asiedu Nketia as the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the party’s 10th National delegates Congresson Saturday.

The former propaganda secretary contested against Dr. Peter Boamah Otukunor and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and polled 4,543 votes against Dr Otukunor who got 2,595 and Mr Afriyie Ankrah’s 1,408.

Mr. Akwetey in a Facebook post congratulated his competitors for their efforts going into the election after he was elected.


” My Brother and Comrade Boamah Otokunor called me a few minutes ago to congratulate me. Very gracious of him. I had earlier told him yesterday that I was proud of his competitive campaigning and I repeated same this morning” he stated

He added that he will work in unity with his colleague for the development of the party.

“I reassured him of my complete readiness to work closely with him to make our party greater and stronger,” he wrote.
