Dr. Hassan Ayariga, the presidential candidate for the All People’s Congress (APC), has pledged to create a national database system to tackle corruption if elected in the 2024 general elections. He highlighted corruption as a major obstacle to economic development.

Speaking during the presidential encounters on November 14, 2024, Dr. Ayariga explained that the proposed database would collect essential information about citizens and key sectors such as education, agriculture, and health. This system, he said, would help monitor the operations of these sectors, identify deficits, and improve governance under his leadership.

He further detailed that the database would include bank details, property records, biometrics, employment information, and other resources owned by citizens. This, he believes, would enhance transparency and accountability in managing the country’s affairs.

Dr. Ayariga assured Ghanaians that the database would provide the oversight citizens expect and strengthen efforts to police the nation effectively.
