A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Otchere Darko, has sent a congratulatory message to the largest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for holding successful internal elections.
According to Mr. Otchere Darko, the delegates of the NDC elected propagandists as their national executives during the just ended national delegates congress held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In a tweet reacting to the outcome of the NDC’s internal elections, Mr. Otchere-Darko said,
Congratulations to the NDC and their new national officers! Aseidu Nketia is now the Chairman-General (apologies to Kwami!) During the Saturday internal elections of the NDC, Mr. Asiedu Nketia defeated the incumbent National Chairman, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to occupy that position.
Regarding the General Secretary position, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South constituency in the Volta Region. Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey won.
Mr. Fifi Kwetey, a former Minister of Agriculture is also a former Propaganda Secretary for the party.
