The Flag-bearer of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Daniel Augustus Lartey, has said that engaging the youth is crucial for the country’s development.
Taking turns in the presidential encounter at GBC on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Dr. Lartey explained his vision for Ghana’s youth.
“You know, we’re going to engage all youth,I see them on the streets. So, the youth, I’ve already mentioned, I’ll single-handedly mentor them, parent them, get them off the streets slowly. But I have to get their energy towards domestication,” he said.
Dr. Lartey’s emphasis on domestication was not limited to the youth. He also spoke about incentivizing market women and supporting women with children to return to work.
“And the market women, I’ll tell you what I’m doing for the market women. Yes. And I’ll go to help. Okay. And that’s why I think it’s important. Because I’ll incentivize the market women. I’ll incentivize all women. All women will be incentivized. Especially when they have kids,” he stated
Dr. Lartey’s comprehensive approach to development was evident in his speech. By addressing the needs of various groups, including the youth, market women, and women with children, he demonstrated his commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive society.
